Dr Tricia Yung Sek Hwee is a Palliative Care physician from Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She has a keen interest in medical education and was previously the co-lead of Palliative Medicine undergraduate curriculum for National University of Singapore. She is also actively involved in postgraduate teaching of Advanced Specialist Training for Palliative Medicine, Advanced Specialist Training for Palliative Medicine, Graduate Diploma for Palliative Medicine and residents that rotate to the department.
Her research focus is also in the field of education with projects include evaluating the impact of the structured spiritual care training on the confidence and competence of doctors, movies as a reflection tool for doctors in palliative care unit, barriers and facilitators on goals of care discussion amongst doctors, patients and next-of-kins. She has also led quality improvement projects to improve seamless transition from acute tertiary hospital to hospice setting and reducing incidence of falls for patients in the hospice.

She envisions continuing and enhancing her area of interest in palliative care education both in undergraduate and postgraduate.
