Etienne Wang is a Senior Consultant Dermatologist and Clinician-Scientist at the National Skin Center (NSC) of Singapore, with a special interest in Hair and Adnexal Disorders. After completing his dermatology residency in 2013, he obtained his Ph.D under the mentorship of Dr Angela Christiano at Columbia University studying the role of macrophages in the mammalian hair cycle. His graduate studies were funded by the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) of Singapore. He is currently the Head of the Hair Clinic at NSC, and is involved with basic and translational research with the Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS) with a focus on hair loss disorders, human hair follicle (HF) cycling, and the role of immune cells in the HF microenvironment.
