Dr Chua, Sui Geok Karen is currently senior consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital Rehabilitation Centre, associate professor (clinical practice) at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University and chief clinician at the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS). She has 28 years of clinical experience as a rehabilitation specialist in public institutional practice. She obtained her clinical fellowship in Brain Injury Rehabilitation from Texas, USA. Dr Chua currently holds research grants and publishes widely in clinical rehabilitation, rehabilitation technology, assistive robotics, brain computer interface and telerehabilitation She was awarded the National Healthcare Group (NHG) outstanding citizen award in 2012 and with her collaborators, the NHG Research and Innovation team award in 2021. She was past chair of the Chapter of Rehabilitation Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore and ex-board member of the Asian Oceanian Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (AOSPRM).
