Dr Srivastava developed the speciality of Acute Medicine at King’s College Hospital before moving to his current hospital, where he launched its new Ambulatory Emergency Care unit.
His other roles are
– leading the training of new nurse specialists and advance practitioners in Acute Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital
– development and implementation of the undergraduate Acute Medicine programme for the Medical School at King’s College London
– supporting a new £63 million Emergency Care Centre at Portsmouth University Hospital as a Non-Executive Director
– sharing good practices as Founding Chairman of PanLondon Acute Medicine Network a clinical community to acute physicians
– leading national studies for quality improvement for the National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcomes and Death (NCEPOD)
