Dr Tan Woan Shin

Woan Shin works at the intersection of health economics and applied epidemiology. Her current research focuses on the application of mixed methods to the design and evaluation of health services innovation for geriatric and end-of-life populations. Woan Shin’s primary appointment is with the Health Services & Outcomes Research department, National Healthcare Group where she leads the Healthcare Performance & Sustainability group. She is also a joint faculty member of the Geriatric Education and Research Institute, and a faculty member of the Palliative Care Centre for Excellence in Research and Education (PalC). Her work has been published in leading public health and medical journals. Woan Shin received her Ph.D. in Health Services Research from the Nanyang Technological University as a NMRC Research Fellow and a recipient of the NHG Population Health Scholarship. She obtained her Masters and Bachelors in Economics from the National University of Singapore.
