Ms Jancirani Annamalai was an Enrolled Nurse who embarked on her journey at IMH in 2001. With over two decades of experience, she have ascended to the role of Assistant Director of Nursing, overseeing Nursing Standards & Practice, HR, and Operations across 10 wards in Block 3 of IMH. Her responsibilities encompass Nursing Operations, GPO Representation, Budgeting, and liaising with MOHH. In addition to her managerial responsibilities, she actively contribute to various committees and workgroups, showcasing my dedication to enhancing healthcare.
She have been a pivotal member of the Suicide Prevention Workgroup since 2016, currently chairing it since October 2020. Her involvement in the Nursing Clinical Practice Council has driven the review of work instructions and the initiation of clinical practice projects, where she now serve as an Advisor. Her influence extends to infrastructure development, as seen in her role evaluating anti-ligature products and fixtures for the refurbishment of 11 IMH inpatient wards. She is also an NQAC Auditor, JCI-AOP and JCI-FMS committee member, and a trainer for the “Uncovering the Nursing Leader Course – Module A.” Furthermore, she is an active participant in the Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Committee, IMH-7 Aspiration committees, and she conducts Ethics courses. Her commitment to nursing excellence is demonstrated through her membership in the NHG Nursing Council. Through the years, she have honed a multifaceted skill set, enabling her to drive positive change in the healthcare landscape.
