Nat is a trained nurse and Nurse Manager at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), overseeing innovation in close to 4000 strong nursing division. Graduating in 2013 from The University of Manchester and Singapore Institute of Technology, he honed his skills in rehabilitation, neuroscience, and acute care before delving into improvement and innovation. Nat spent two years in Transformation Division, Kaizen Office, facilitating lean and service design projects. These initiatives led to increased efficiency and human-centric care. Some were featured in Singapore Design Week, showcasing system-level changes and transdisciplinary collaborations. His team also won the Workforce Transformation Best Practice Medal in 2021 for redesigning lean training as digitally enabled microlearning, extending outreach to the community care sector. Nat also focuses on building organization improvement and innovation capabilities for new staff. He explores healthcare innovation as a faculty member and principal investigator for health technologies. He completed a Master’s in healthcare and design jointly run by Imperial College London and Royal College of Art in 2022. He is also a recent graduand of Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) Fellowship in Healthcare Innovation and Leadership and centre’s fellow. His passion lies in innovation through design-led methods, quality improvement, designing for human behaviour change and care transformation through technology.
