Mr Lim Wee Onn

Mr Lim Wee Onn is a Senior Clinical Psychologist of the Mood Disorders Unit (MDU) at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH). Mr Lim’s experience includes working in general and community psychiatry, as well as in more specialised units of mood disorders and psychogeriatric. His training and practice have made him adept in conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy to adults and geriatric populations. He works closely with individuals with moderate to severe, complex, and treatment-resistant mood disorders, including major depressive disorders and bipolar disorders, as well as persons with dementia. Mr Lim also oversees group therapy services under the Psychology Department and he conducts group therapy mainly using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) framework. During the pandemic, Mr Lim and his team have successfully adapted face-to-face CBT group sessions to an online mode of delivery.
