John Soong is a physician with joint accreditation in the sub-specialties of Acute Medicine, General Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine. He is currently the Research & AMU Director and an Associate Consultant within the Division of Advanced Internal Medicine at the National University Hospital in Singapore. He is an instructor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He was an RCP Clinical Quality Improvement Research and Training Fellow. He has completed a PhD with Imperial College London studying risk stratification for Frailty in the Acute Medical Care setting. Hosted at NIHR CLAHRC for NWL, He has been involved in a number of national Quality Improvement and Improvement Science initiatives in the United Kingdom including evaluation of National Clinical Audit, frailty assessment in the acute care setting and Acute Medical Care. He was a member of the Patient Safety Committee at the RCP and was a member of the data workstream for the Future Hospital Commission. He has undertaken several service improvement initiatives on the AMU at NUH, including the AMU Frailty Assessment Bundle that has received a NUHS Recognition Award.
