Dr Atasha Asmat completed her Advanced Specialty Training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at National University Hospital, Singapore in 2008. She completed her fellowships in General Thoracic Surgery at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, UK and Thoracic Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, USA from 2010 – 2012. Dr Asmat holds academic appointments at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is a core clinical faculty member of the national PGY1 (TTSH) program. She holds various professional memberships namely with the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons and the International Association of the Study of Lung Cancer. She has presented at local and international conferences and actively collaborates in a number of clinical trials. Her clinical interests include thoracic surgical oncology and thymic diseases (thymoma).
