A/Prof Kelvin Bryan Tan is currently Director (Policy, Research and Evaluation Division) and is responsible for driving research efforts within the Ministry of Health. He started his career in the Ministry of Health in 2000 where he was in charge of Medisave, MediShield and Medifund policy. He subsequently spent stints as the General Manager of Central Singapore Community Development Council staffing the Mayor of the Central Singapore district, as well as at the Ministry of Trade Industry where he was in charge of strategic planning, R&D and Small Medium Enterprise policy.
Dr Tan graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University and subsequently obtained his MSE and Phd in the Department of Management Science from Stanford University. His research interests are in the area of health economics, health insurance design and cost effectiveness modelling.
