Dr Liew is a consultant geriatric psychiatrist at the Institute of Mental Health, Singapore. He has an interest in dementia care and mental health of the older persons, with more than 15 research publications in these areas.
He is currently a research fellow of the Ministry of Health’s National Medical Research Council and is completing his PhD in Health Services Research at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, NUS. He also holds two research grants from NMRC to conduct a cohort study related to dementia caregiving. Dr Liew teaches medical students from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU. He is also an invited lecturer for NTU’s Master of Science in Applied Gerontology.
