Singapore Health and Biomedical Congress

The National Healthcare Group (NHG) is proud to present the 19th Edition of the Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress (SHBC). SHBC 2021 will bring extraordinary digital opportunities in a reimagined virtual experience on 7 & 8 October and is slated to be the largest virtual medical congress in Singapore with an expected 2,000 delegates streaming in live!

Since 2002, SHBC has established itself to become a must-attend vital platform for healthcare delegates to learn, share and equip themselves with extended knowledge. A record 3,500 delegates from Asia Pacific and other regions converged at SHBC 2019. Our SHBC Scientific Competition remains the most prestigious and recognised local competition among abstract submitters, attracting about 600 submissions locally and around the region.

Innovation in the healthcare industry is rapidly accelerating and the Covid-19 pandemic has further exposed the need for resilience in our healthcare systems. As we move towards the “Brave New World of Healthcare”, our theme for this year, SHBC 2021 aims to focus on current healthcare problems and deliberate over potential solutions for a sustainable health ecosystem and a future-ready healthcare workforce.

SHBC 2021 will be a 2-day virtual congress. Each day kicks off with an inspiring session followed by concurrent sessions with live Q&A. In between sessions, stop by the Virtual Poster Hall, featuring videos and e-posters of Scientific Competition finalists, share your thoughts at SHBC Experience Wall or interact with other delegates at the virtual networking lounge.

The Organising Committee is excited to have distinguished local and international speakers in the lineup with the discussion of Day 1 focused on the transformation of healthcare with popular topics such as Reinventing the Continuum of Healthcare, Incentivising Health and lessons from COVID-19. On the other hand, Day 2 will see us hosting thought-invoking discussions on Digital Psychiatry in Mental Health, Biologics Revolution in Skin and Metabolic Health which are topics important for all family groups.

Presented on a revamped virtual learning platform, SHBC 2021 promises maximum audience engagement, interaction with experts and creative educational opportunities so that you can learn not just in these two days, but well beyond.
