Dr Yang is a principal psychologist and clinical lead for psychology and related programs, collaborative projects and research at the Pain Management Clinic (PMC) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). She has been working with patients with chronic pain for the past 15 years. Dr Yang also holds a content expert and clinical facilitator position at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC). She is one of the privileged few to have been awarded full sponsorship for both her UK-based Masters and PhD studies. She was awarded her PhD in Academic Studies (Health Psychology) at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London in 2016. In the same year, she was also accepted as a Chartered Health Psychologist by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Dr Yang has published articles in both health magazines and international journals and has peer reviewed articles for journal publication. She has also co-published a book chapter on psychological treatments for painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN). Dr Yang is a member of the Pain Taskforce at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and is active in research. She has a special interest in healthcare innovations and is part of the co-learning faculty for the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) as well as an active member for the Serious Games Unit (SGU) at TTSH.
